Let’s continue write again, this time the theme is stories that made me laugh or cry… umm, but honestly I’m kinda confused about what to write. but okay, lets get started..
Hi, my name is Intan.. i will write about "Resign"
Resign for me, feels simple but really describes life.
Life always has this pattern, people and things come and go, just like resigning. Every time we stop something, it actually means we’re starting something new.
The feeling when you resign is such a mix, you’re sad because you’re leaving behind old habits and good friends, but at the same time, you’re excited about the new experiences and people you’ll meet next.
I just resigned this past May, but not totally resigned, because I’m still working for my old office, just remotely (WFH). My friends and I in Depok may be apart physically now, but we’re still connected in our responsibility and in our hearts.
When I was about 21, I used to feel really sad when I had to let my friends go, whether they moved to work in another city or left because they got married. It really broke my heart to be left behind.
But as time goes by, I realize that’s just how life works. People come and go and it’s totally okay.
Through every goodbye, we learn something new. We learn to adapt, we see things from a wider perspective, we learn to accept, yes, learn to accept.
For me, acceptance are some of the hardest parts of life lessons. There’s always something that makes us feel not fully legowo (wholehearted).
Maybe it’s because we feel like we own this world, when in reality, everything is just borrowed. Everything belongs to Allah even ourselves.
Whenever Allah wants to take over, it’s His right.
I think realizing this helps us be a little more acceptance when something we thought was “ours” is taken back by Allah, or when we have to part ways with something or someone. (Of course, we can’t deny the sadness, it’s normal.) But after that, life must go on.
I really hope all our life journeys help us learn and grow into better people and bring us closer to Allah. Aamiin. 🤍
